About PortfolioMaker.ca

PortfolioMaker.ca was conceived by Dr. Deborah Berrill, a professor at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Berrill has been studying Professional Portfolios for years, in her capacity as a teacher educator, and has become increasinly convinced of the usefulness of building a Professional Portfolio, not just for teachers, but for anyone in a professional position.

PortfolioMaker.ca is intended to be both a comprehensive learning tool and an online assistant in Professional Portfolio creation. There is lots of information about how to build a Professional Portfolio, and registered users are then guided through the process of actually creating one online which can then be downloaded and edited further in any popular word processor.

Launched in August, 2001, the site is going to continue growing as we add more information about Professional Portfolios, and new functionality in the PortfolioMaker section.

Design & Development

The Portfoliomaker.ca site and system has been designed and developed by Cameron Booth, an independent web applications developer, and partner in The Working Group. Cameron has been involved in numerous sites for a range of clients, including non-profits such as Evergreen, and private companies such as Velosophy.com.
