The Main Sections of a PortfolioYour Professional Portfolio as a teacher or teacher candidate should contain sections which correspond to the Dimensions of Teaching for which all teachers are responsible / accountable. These dimensions can be found in the Teaching Standards of Practice of virtually every English speaking country, whether those are articulated by the government or by the equivalent of a College of Teachers of that jurisdiction. We recommend the following sections:
In addition, you should feel free to include any other sections you think are relevant to your professional career such as Leadership, Anti-racist Teaching, Literacy, etc. If you decide to include a section on Awards, we encourage you either NOT include certificates at all or to photo-reduce them so that they do not take up too much space in the Portfolio.
