Other Possible SectionsWe strongly recommend that you create other sections in your Portfolio that speak to your individual talents and strengths. These might include sections such as the following:
You may also wish to expand areas in which you have significant expertise, such as Special Needs. For instance, you might want to have the following sections:
Your portfolio should uniquely describe you. Think about whom you are and the talents and special interests and values that you bring as the person you are. Then, think about how you can help someone else understand these gifts that you bring to the students you teach and how you can be a resident expert for your colleagues in these areas. Try to put this information into tables and charts as much as possible, for it is easier for others to recognize the depth of your knowledge and the impact of these areas on your teaching and on the school. Follow the types of entries you have used for other sections. If you are ready to begin, you can create an account with PortfolioMaker.ca and then simply go to the Build Your Portfolio section of this site. There you will be brought through the process of creating your own Professional Portfolio. You can always refer back to the Portfolio Information Center at any time if you need more guidance. Good luck with your portfolio! Previous: The Leadership and Community Section |
